Emotion Signal Block

An acrylic block holder for 8 interchangeable emotion indicators, allowing the user to signal how they are currently feeling. Supports non-verbal expression, reducing verbal and cognitive load. Communicates emotional states through interchangeable visual icons. Based on Robert Plutchik’s Wheel of Emotions, this object reflects eight core feelings: happiness, trust, fear, surprise, sadness, disgust, anger, and anticipation.

The original prototype included a light on the base to serve as a lamp as well as a signal. The design changed to remove the light to allow it to be easily moveable as well as serve as a signal alone without the necessity of acting as a functional lamp.
